Justina Mike Ngwobia

Elder Ambassador Justina Mike Ngwobia is a seasoned peacebuilder and mediator who has worked extensively with rural and urban communities across Northern Nigeria, empowering women, girls, and young people to actively engage in dialogue, peace, security, and governance processes.

As the Executive Director of Justice, Peace and Reconciliation Movement (JPRM), leader within the Women Peacebuilders Network in Nigeria (WPNN), Co-Chair of theWomen Peace Mentors and Mediators Forum (WPMMF), and founder of the WOPEN Initiative for Youth and Women Empowerment, Justina has facilitated and mediated complex conflicts, including farmer-herder clashes, land and boundary disputes, and indigene-settler divisions. Her work is rooted in inclusive, community-based peacebuilding, with a strong emphasis on elevating the voices and leadership of women and youth.

She designs and leads mediation and dialogue initiatives that bring conflicting parties together, fostering sustainable solutions through community engagement and inclusive processes. A firm believer in grassroots leadership, Justina has successfully mobilized and mentored women mediators to lead conflict resolution efforts within their own communities.

Justina is a Fellow of KAICIID and a member of the Nigeria Women Mediators Network. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the Plateau Peace Builders Practitioners Network (PPPN), where she offers expertise in conflict analysis, prevention, resource-based conflict resolution, capacity building, and inter-religious and intercultural dialogue.

Currently, she is pursuing a PhD with a research focus on how cultural norms and conflict dynamics perpetuate gender inequality—particularly in relation to the boy child in Nigeria.
